2T/H complete wood pellet production line
2t/h complete wood pellet production line is suitable for most
investors start pellet production for commercial purpose, because
the invest of machines is not high, the building required to
install the machine is not big, the operation of machine is easy
and the pellets is high quality which can comply with EN and DIN
Plus A1 standard.
A 2t/h complete wood pellet production line include: Debarking
part, Chipping part, Drying part, Crushing part, Pelletizing part,
Pellet cooling part and packing part
- The debarking part is use wood debarking machine to move the bark
of wood, because under DIN and EN standard pellets should not
contain wood bark thus to reduce the ash content and smoke emission
when burning the pellets.
We use double roller wood debarking machine, which have a 95%
debarking rate, operator can use loader to put wood logs into
debarking machine or put wood manually, the machine can
automatically working to peel the bark of wood by the rotating
rollers, after wood got debarked the hydraulic system can open the
door to discharge the wood.

- The chipping part is used to turn the wood logs into wood chips,
the machine applied in chipping part is rotary drum chipper, this
kind of chipper equipped feeding conveyor, discharge conveyor,
hydraulic system and electric panel. Feed wood logs to feeding
conveyor, the conveyor can move the wood logs to feed inlet, the
rollers at inlet place can send wood logs inside chipper, the
rotating blades and stable blades will cut wood logs into chips.
The wood chips from drum chipper is uniform in size about 20-30mm.
If the wood log diameter is a little bigger than height of feeding
inlet, the hydraulic system can push up the upper rollers to make
the wood feed into chipper. Electric panel can control all of the
motors in chipping part and protect the machine from overload.

- The drying part is designed to reduce the moisture of wood chips,
normally the moisture of fresh wood is higher than 15% while
requirement of raw material feed into pellet mill is 12-15%, so
there is a drying system need to pre-process the moisture of wood
chips. For a 2t/h wood pellet production line it is better to use
rotary drum dryer to improve the drying efficiency. A rotary drum
dryer designed with feeding conveyor, heating furnace, drum tube,
dried material outlet system and dust collect system. Wood chips
and hot air go into drum tube together, during they move forward
inside drum tube, they mixture and hot air evaporate the water
content in wood chips.

Hammer mill is used to turn the dried wood chips into sawdust,
since the best size of raw material feed into pellet mill is around
5mm like sawdust. So we need to grinding device to refine size of
wood chips to sawdust.
We use water drop type hammer mill in a 2t/h complete wood pellet
production line to take the grinding work.
A water drop type hammer mill is vertical structure, material feed
into hammer mill from top by conveyor, inside hammer mill the
rotating rotor bring the hammers to bite wood chips and crush them,
until size of wood is smaller than the holes on screen, they got
The special designed water drop type makes feeding wood chips
easier, the more important is this hammer mill can be opened from
two sides, that means only open the door from two side can change
hammers, screen and do maintenance to hammer mill, thus can save a
lot time and labor compared with common hammer mill if need
maintenance need to move the cover on top.

- The pellet mills is the part in a 2t/h complete wood pellet
production line to make pellets. We use two sets ring die pellet
mill model MZLH420 to get 2/h pellets output. The ring die type
pellet mill can make DIN and EN plus A1 standard pellets. And our
MZLH420 model ring die pellet mill have high stability and

After pellet mill produce pellets, the rest work is to cooling down
the pellets by pellet cooler, sieve pellets by screener and pack
pellets into bags by packing machine.
We use counter flow pellet cooler to cooling down wood pellets to
room temperature. The whole system is controlled by electric panel
to suction cool air into cooler, feeding pellets to cooling tank
and and discharge pellets from cooler.
With a pellet cooler can reduce temperature of pellets, increase
hardness of pellets, decrease moisture of pellets, the other
advantage is to storage the pellets after cooler the pellets can
not crack on surface.
A pellet sieving machine is needed after cooler to pick out the
powder, dust and small granular from good pellets, thus to make
sure the pellets go to packing machine is in high quality.
To pack pellets into bags is last step of a 2t/h complete wood
pellet production line. We have solution to pack pellets into small
bags and jumbo bags.
For small bags packing usually pack in 10-50kg plastic bags or
50-100kg woven bags, we have accordingly packaging machine to pack
the pellets and seal bags.
For jumbo bags packing is usually pack in 500kg, 1T or 2T per bag
jumbo bags. We have jumbo bag packing machine to fill pellets into
