Fujian Yamei Industry & Trade Co., Ltd. (Yamei Industry) was founded in 1995 and located in Fuzhou, China. Yamei has devoted itself in developing long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) since 2002. In year 2007, Yamei gained its invention patent of pesticide treatment on mosquito nets from State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China. In the past 7 years, Yamei has developed a unique technology in coating insecticide onto filaments of mosquito nets.
Yamei's LLINs are produced stictly conforming to the WHOPES standards. By using the unique coating technology, the insecticide is bound in a resin coating that reduces the amount of insecticide lost during routine washing. The retention of biological efficacy is durable for 20 WHO standard washes. The bio-efficacy test executed by T.E.C. Laboratory in France has indicated that the mortality (mosquitoes) is 100% and the knockdown is 100% after 20 WHO standard washes. The test has followed the WHOPES laboratory testing standards. The bio-efficacy has overcome the WHOPES standards for long-lasting insecticidal nets. For now, the WHOPES has registered "Yahe LN" for evaluation.
Yamei has a factory which size is 2,000 square meters, and it has a chemical laboratory for insecticide preparing and coating. Yamei is able to produce 300,000 units per month of insecticide impregnated mosquito nets.
