Bet UK’s Hit The Target Treble - 1st January
The hectic Christmas period is almost over, with just one more
midweek match until we reach the latter stages of the FA Cup. In
the New Year, we start with the Premier League and EFL, and Bet UK
have picked out 3 teams we fancy to win for our Hit The Target
Treble. Each round of fixtures, we’ll be boosting 3 teams to win
over at Bet UK’s online betting. Remember, you can get the latest
football betting odds for all matches across Europe this weekend

Leicester To Beat Newcastle @ 20/33
Leicester comfortably bounced back from their 4-0 thrashing at home
to Liverpool with a 2-1 win away at the London Stadium. In that
game, Jamie Vardy, Ricardo Periera and James Madison were rested in
that match, amongst others. Brendan Rodgers has already revealed
that his side will be back to full strength against Newcastle.
If everyone is back and fully fit, then surely there can only be
one winner at St James Park? Newcastle have been tough to beat at
home this season, but fell to Everton at the weekend and looked
toothless throughout the match. With 9 potential first team players
missing for Steve Bruce, he won’t be expecting a surprise win
Tottenham To Beat Southampton @ 23/20
Tottenham have risen to 6th place in the league since Jose Mourinho
was hired in November and look like the side we all expected them
to be at the start of the season. Harry Kane and Dele Alli continue
to impress under their new management, with even Christian Eriksen
chipping in with a goal against Norwich.
They weren’t massively impressive at Carrow Road, but they have
consistently been exciting when playing attacking football. When
they face Southampton on New Year’s Day, they’ll be facing the
second-worst defence in the Premier League. This is a side that has
lost 9-0 at home already this season and haven’t kept a clean sheet
at home so far this season.
If Tottenham can continue to impress going forward, then there is
no chance of Southampton containing them.
Wolves To Beat Watford @ 5/4
Once again, Wolves have managed to climb up the table without
gaining any plaudits and almost no one paying serious attention to
them. In the last week, they’ve came from behind to beat Manchester
City and were a contentious VAR decision away from a draw away at
Liverpool. Especially against Liverpool, Wolves were hugely
impressive and would have felt very hard done by not to come away
with a point.
Raul Jiminez and Adama Traore were both rested in that match so
will come into the New Year with full fitness. They face a Watford
side that has turned their season around since Nigel Pearson came
to Vicarage Road, but there is still a long way to go for the
Hornets. Their wins have come against a disappointing Manchester
United side, and an awful Aston Villa side, so there is still
little to look back on and be impressed with.
If Wolves can perform anywhere near their best, then we should see
Watford tested for the first time under Pearson and it won’t be as
easy for the last 3 games.
