Summary Report for June 2006

 

  • Shells hit Gaza beach killing 8 Palestinian including a family of five and two women and wounding more than 30 others.

 

  • Popular resistance committees kidnapped An Israeli soldier and kill two other soldiers when they slipped into "Kerem Shalom".   

 

  • An Israeli Air Strike in Gaza city that targeted members of Palestinian military wing and arrested more than twenty ministers and deputies from Hamas and the assault resulted in  killing (6) Palestinian civilians.

 

  • A concern regarding misuse of small firearms in Gaza has been noticed, comparing the month of May 2006 with June 2006 the numbers were doubled from 12 fatalities up to 22 on the hands of fellow Palestinian citizens, PHRMG calls for the Palestinian society and the PA to take immediate action in concern.
