Summary Report during July 2005

 

  • Internal Tension increases between Hamas and the Palestinian Security Forces, which left (2) children dead and many people injured.  The PHRMG is deeply concerned at clashes between members of Hamas and the PNA Security Forces. It strongly condemns these clashes and reiterates the call for a complete cessation of violence between both sides.  PMRMG also calls on all political factions, national and Islamic, to intervene to stop the escalation.

 

  • PHRMG is shocked by the latest attempt by Israeli settlers (illegally residing the in the Palestinian Territory) to appropriate land from Palestinian civilians for their own self gain.  PHRMG believes that any individual involved in the development or supporting such activities are involved in grave breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention and should be prosecuted as such including foreign nationals.  PHRMG demands that a thorough and impartial investigation be conducted into this latest attempt including by the German and Dutch governments into the involvement of a national and resident of their countries respectively. 

 

  • After a long period of silence, An Islamic Jihad suicide bomber killed 5 Israeli civilians and left many injured in July 12. PHRMG condemns the suicide bombing attacks and calls on stopping killing innocent civilians of both sides.

 

  • PHRMG regrets that Israel renewed policy of assassinations. (12) were killed by Israeli Forces in July. PHRMG calls to immediately stop the brutality and gross use of lethal force upon Palestinians which only creates more extremists who have reached their breaking point after tireless suffering.
