The PHRMG is pleased to announce the release of a newly published research report:

 

The Chaos of the Corruption

 

Challenges for the improvement of the Palestinian Society

 

 

The report is primarily aimed to analyze the Palestinian Authority’s internal crisis since its establishment, principally highlighting:

 

  • The state of lawlessness throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory. It  primarily involves:

 

a)      the recent turmoil sparkled in the Gaza Strip;

b)      the stream of abductions, violent demonstrations and brutal attacks perpetrated by Palestinian factions.

 

  • The corruption’s main features within the current PA leadership and the related obstruction to the implementation of the reform process. It mainly involves:

 

a)      lack of democracy in the decision-making process;

b)      unfair appropriation;

c)      delay in carrying out appreciable reform.

 

  • The renovation of the PA Security Forces. It wants to emphasize:

 

a)      security forces’ abusive conduct

b)      internal power struggle;

 

  • The related, quickly growing support of movements, such as Hamas.

 

  • Reactions and demands from the Palestinian society. It mainly involves:

 

a)      need of local and general election;

b)      need of political pluralism and reliable political representatives;

c)      substantial reform of the judicial system;
