68 Palestinians Human Beings Murdered by the Israeli Army in the Month of February

In the past 27 days, the Israeli Army has stolen the lives of 68 Palestinian people, 10 of whom were children under the age of 18.  3 people who died were killed by internationally-illegal Israeli assassinations, which Israel has been internationally rebuked for, but yet they continue on, assassinating whomever they please.  One person died at a checkpoint when they were refused passage by unethical Israeli soldiers.  All of the other people were killed when the Israeli army brutally stomped into the world’s most crowded neighborhoods, already in shambles, and randomly shot people down in the street and in their homes, as they went about daily life.

Almost ALL of these 68 people were unarmed civilians.  Even Israeli reports credit these people as being unarmed civilians.  41 of these people were residents of Gaza; 18 were residents of Nablus, and the others were from Jenin, Qaqilya, and Tulkarem.  Please take note here and let the reality of the truth sink in:

The Israeli army murdered 68 innocent human beings in 27 days.

Is this acceptable to the world?  Would the world be more outraged if these 68 people were, say, Israeli or American?  Would the world then cry out and take affirmative action to put an end to this cruel brutality?  Such rational sounds absurd, but from the silence of the world in light of such numerous people being killed, it seems that this might indeed be the case.  It is no secret what is happening to the Palestinian people.  When the Israeli army doesn’t shoot them, reporters report from the Occupied Territories what is happening in the daily hell of existence there, but the world is preoccupied with Iraq or something else, or perhaps it is simply fear of America and its dire protection of Israel, and thus, silence is the response.

But like the Germans in World War II, the world cannot say it “did not know.”

 Now you do.

Since Ariel Sharon made his notorious act of incitement by visiting the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on September 29, 2000, 1956 Palestinian human beings have been killed by the hands of the Israeli army.  384 of these people were children under the age of 18 (201 under age 15, 183 from age 15-18), not even legal adults, yet the suffered the cruel death of men.  Imagine the bitterness and rage this leaves in the families and others who knew and loved them.  Killing children has never been a recipe for peace.  And 384 children can not all be “accidentally killed.”

Also immoral and in need of acknowledgement is the fact that Israel has assassinated 122 Palestinian human beings.  That means these people were murdered without any chance of a trial, fair judgment, or opportunity for repentance.  Assassinated like JFK, blown out of their cars, helicopter bombed in their houses, etc., killing their neighbors or innocent people standing by them, as well.  All this while America and the rest of the silent world, give the silent signal of “OK, do what you’ve got to do.”  Morally repulsive at best.

This, dear world, is what is happening to human beings who were born Palestinian.

Now you can not say that you do not know.

PHRMG continues to monitor and report the truth of life for Palestinians, in the perpetual hope that one day, people will be brave enough to care and take action for justice, not simply political gain.
